Confident Leaders Development Programme

The Confident Leaders Development Programme is developed to meet the needs of Specific African community groups in Newham. The course is being led by Black and Ethnic Minority Community Care Forum (BEMCCF), delivered by Ketco College and is funded by the London Development Agency's Opportunities Fund.

The Confident Leaders Development programme will work with 15 African Community groups, for three years, up until 2010. The programme will specifically support African community groups for e.g. French, Portuguese and Somali speaking African Communities who are currently experiencing the highest rate of unemployment in London and who are also facing challenges in organising community responses as a result of language and other barriers.

The Confident Leaders Development Programme is suitable for community leaders who have responsibility for engaging, leading and directing community groups & forums and who wish to make a difference within their community.
